Family: Leguminosae

Genus: Indigofera

Parent: Indigofera kirilowii

Category: Shrub - Deciduous

Zones: 5 to 8

Size: 2 to 3' tall and wide

Exposure: Sun, Filtered Sun, Part Shade

Description:

White flowers in spring. Bright green leaves.

History:

Ted Stephens found this at a small nursery in Japan.

My Experience:

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Nurseries Caroliniana in May 2010 and planted it in the One Of Everything garden. It has bloomed each year and grown to about 18" tall and 24" wide. It doesn't look so good in the heat of the summer but it is in full, full sun.
