Description: 

Flowers can be red, orange or yellow. Blooms early to mid summer. Divide every 3 to 4 years in the spring. Close cousin to the Bearded Iris. Cut flowers last a long time. Well-drained soil. Rabbit resistant.

Native to far east Russia, China, Japan, Korea, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines.

First published in Novon 15(1): 129 in 2005.

Basionym is Epidendrum domesticum L.

Previously named Belamcanda chinensis (L.) DC.
