Description: 

Narrow yellow-green foliage, yellow-green flowers. Female flowers have yellow-green bracts and large rounded cones. Male plants smaller with narrower leaves.

Published in Trans. Linn. Soc. London 10: 63 in 1810.

Native to South Africa.

ProteaWorldOnline lists Protea comosa Thunb. as a synonym but African Plant Database show it as the basionym of Leucadendron comosum (Thunb.) R.Br.

They also list Chasme comosa Salisb. ex Knight and Protea polysperma Poir.
