Description: 

Opposite leaves, 3 to 6" long, entire, glossy, dark green, often curl at the tip, with an opaque rim around the margin. Form is more open and larger than Ligustrum japonicum.

Introduced in 1794. RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2002, Award of Merit in 1965.
