History: 

Published in Philipp. J. Sci. 6: 321 in 1911.

Basionym Sebifera glutinosa Lour.

Synonyms Tetranthera laurifolia Jacq. published in Pl. Rar. Hort. Schoenbr. 1: 59 t. 113 in 1797, Litsea chinensis Lam.

Native to China, tropical Asia and Australia.
