Description: 

Sea-green leaves, matt above and glaucous below. Evergreen, leaves to 20" long and 8" wide. White flowers in Summer, to 8" diameter.

History: 

Native to China. Brought back from Japan in 1899 to 1902 by E.H. Wilson working for Veitch Nursery.

Published in Pl. Delavay. 33 (9-10) in 1889.
