Description: 

Purple flowers on compact mounding plants in summer. Dark green leaves. Deer and rabbit resistant. Attracts butterflies.

History: 

Selected from an open-pollination project in a cultivated field of hundreds of unnamed proprietary seedlings of Monarda didyma in Manitoba, Canada.

Patent application filed in 2007. Inventor Campbell G. Davidson of Ottawa, Canada. Patent assigned to "Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Canada as represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food (CA)".

My Experience: 

I purchased a 4" pot from Santa Rosa in May 2012 and planted it in the Big Trees and Birds garden. It looked very good in spring 2013 and was not bothered by deer or rabbits.
