Description: 

Lacy, bright green foliage that looks more like bamboo than Muhly Grass. Flowers are insignificant. Rhizomatous but slow spreading. Drought tolerant.

History: 

Native to Arizona and Mexico.

Published in Contr. U.S. Natl. Herb. 3: 71 in 1892.

I was given a division in August 2012 and planted it in the Ornamental Grasses Border. It did not return in spring 2013.
