My Experience:

A friend gave me a plant in Spring 2011. Thinking it was Musa basjoo I replaced my Musa basjoo by the pool with it, hoping it would get taller. When it flowered, I realized it was actually Musa velutina. In spring 2013 I moved one to the Blue Bird Perennials garden, several to the Big Trees and Birds garden and some to the right property line.
