Description: 

White tubular flowers in spring in panicles. Dry to medium soils. Deer tolerant. Not wet or poorly drained soils.

History: 

Published in Bot. Mag. 52: 2587 in 1825.

Native to Eastern Canada and the United States.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 4" pot at the Botanical Garden in Athens in October 2012 and planted it in the Octagonal Perennial Garden. In September 2013 I moved it to the Helipad And Tiers garden.
