A tall slender shrub... Leaves 1 1/2 to 2 lines broad, 7 to 9 long, more distant from each other than in many species, spatulated, obtuse, still pubescent when old. Heads of male flowers broadly hemispaerical, their Petals bearded beyond the anthers. (Cult. Prot.)
