This is a conical shrub, from 6 to 10' high, discovered by Mr. J. Niven, near Paarl, in dry sandy soil. Branches clustered at regular distances. Leaves 1/2 to 1 line broad, 2 1/2 to 4 long, not twisted, wedge-shaped, obtuse, smooth when fully grown. Stigma of males broadly club-shaped. Pericarpium pointed. (Cult. Prot.)
