Clumping perennial, dark purple stems and flowers on spikes thorugh summer. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Cut back to lower leaves after flowering. Prefers good drainage.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 4" plant from Santa Rosa in April 2010 and planted it in the One Of Everything garden. It has performed reasonably well but not outstanding. Sensation White and May Night have been better.
