Description: 

Stem 3 and 4 feet high, finely cottony. Leaves 2 to 2 1/2 inches long, 2-pinnatifid from below their middle. Heads 1 to 3, scarcely shorted than the peduncle. Bractes externally pubescent. (Cult. Prot.)

Published in Cult. Prot. 91 in 1809. From the high mountains near Franche Hoek, where Mr. J. Niven discovered it...

Unresolved in PlantList and no further information found. Shown as unaccounted for in Bothalia vols. 20-21 p. 201.
