Description: 

Leaves 4 to 6 lines long, close, 3-fid from below their middle, glossy. Head nearly sessile, Bractes thickly cottony. Petals smooth below the limb.

History: 

Published in Cult. Prot. 89 in 1809. A subdecumbent shrub with rigid branches, seldom more than a foot high, discovered by Mr. J. Niven in the sandy plains near Blauuvberg.

Unresolved in PlantList and no further information found. Shown as unaccounted for in Bothalia vols. 20-21 p. 201.
