Description: 

Stem 5 or 6 feet high. Leaves 1 to 1 1/2 inch long, closely 3-pinnatifid from their base, pubescent. Peduncles 1 to 3, cottony. Bractes suddenly smooth above their base externally. (Cult. Prot.)

History: 

Published in Cult. Prot. 80 in 1809. From the mountains near the Breede River, where Mr. J. Niven discovered it.

Unresolved in PlantList and no further information found. Shown as unaccounted for in Bothalia vols. 20-21 p. 201.
