Description: 

Clumping erect plants with yellow, marigold flowers in late summer to autumn when the days get shorter. Anise fragrance. Well-drained soil.

History: 

Published in Icon. (Cavanilles) 3: 33 in 1794.

Native to Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.
