Description: 

Silvery white hairy leaves and pink to purple flowers in the leaf axils in summer. Grown for the foliage. Not frost tolerant but will come back from the roots if dry over winter. Not deer resistant.

History: 

Published in Bol. Soc. Bot. México 18: 1 in 1955.

My Experience: 

I purchased a 1-gallon plant at Plantapalooza in April 2013 and planted it for the summer in the Pool Lawn Border. It survived the winter outside in 2014.
