Description: 

Pyramidal crown, branches horizontal to drooping. Leaves to 1.5" long, spirally arranged on branches. Cones to 1" long.

History: 

Native to south west China, Myanmar and Tibet.

Introduced in 1838 by Captain Webb.

Published in Nat. Pflanzenfam. (Engler & Prantl) 2: 1: 80 in 1887.

Basionym Pinus dumosa D.Don - also published in Desc. Pinus.

RHS Award of merit 1931.
