Description: 

Lacy leaves, glossy green. Bright blue to purple flowers on panicles in summer to autumn. Deer resistant. Can be cut back annually.

History: 

Published in Hort. Brit. (Loudon) 246 in 1830.

Basionym Vitex latifolia Mill.

Considered to be a synonym of Vitex agnus-castus L.
