Description: 

Fragrant, pea-like lilac-purple flowers in drooping racemes in spring followed by flattened seedpods. Compound odd-pinnate leaves. Does not spread as aggressively as Chinese Wisteria. Twines clockwise. Likes moist, well-drained soil. Deer tolerant.
